Crescent Moon’s butter croissants embody artisanal craftsmanship. The brand identity is luxurious, centered on indulgence and uniqueness. Each croissant whether sweet with rich chocolate or savory with butter cheese and herbs features expertly rolled layers of dough, resulting in a delicate, airy texture that melts in the mouth. The brand has built a reputation for using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, ensuring a fresh and delicious experience every time. This attention to detail, paired with an elegant black and gold aesthetic, shines across packaging and presentation. It resonates with discerning customers seeking a gourmet experience. With a focus on craftsmanship and sensory pleasure, Crescent Moon has established itself as a sophisticated destination for those craving a transcendent pastry experience.

Translating the delicate, flaky texture of a croissant into a visual identity. Balancing luxury (black and gold) with warmth and approachability. Ensuring the brand feels artisanal and local, not mass-produced or pretentious. Making every touchpoint from packaging to signage feel as carefully crafted as the pastry itself.

Create a black and gold aesthetic that feels elegant but inviting. Use typography and layout to convey flakiness, lightness, and craftsmanship. Highlight local sourcing and artisanal methods. Design packaging that makes unboxing a croissant feel like an indulgent ritual. Build a brand that resonates with gourmet customers seeking authenticity and pleasure.

Process

Started with the sensory experience: butter, flakiness, melt-in-the-mouth texture. Researched luxury bakery codes (black, gold, serif typography) but softened them with organic shapes and warm accents. Chose a deep black paired with matte gold for elegance, plus subtle cream tones for softness. Selected a custom serif font that feels refined yet slightly playful. Designed packaging with window cutouts to reveal the croissant’s golden layers. Added hand-drawn flourishes evoking rolled dough. Tested the identity across boxes, bags, in-store signage, and social media. Delivered a brand identity that makes every customer feel they are biting into art.
