The brand identity for Noodly, an Asian noodle company, revolves around an elegant and contemporary typographic design that reflects Asian culinary culture. Using a bold, custom typeface that merges traditional Asian calligraphy with modern sans-serif aesthetics, the logo achieves a harmonious balance between curves and sharp edges. The color palette features rich, earthy tones inspired by natural ingredients, complemented by vibrant accents that evoke freshness and flavor. This innovative identity extends to packaging and promotional materials, using typographic hierarchy and playful layouts that invite exploration and convey the brand’s commitment to quality, creativity, and culinary adventure.

Merging traditional Asian calligraphy with modern sans-serif typography without losing cultural authenticity. Balancing earthy, natural tones with vibrant accents to feel both grounded and exciting. Making the brand feel playful and exploratory while maintaining elegance and sophistication. Ensuring the identity works across packaging (noodle boxes, bags) and digital platforms (website, delivery apps).

Design a custom logotype that blends Asian calligraphic strokes with clean, modern sans-serif forms. Create a color palette of rich earth tones plus vibrant pops for freshness. Develop a typographic hierarchy that guides the eye playfully across packaging. Build a brand identity that feels both traditional and forward-looking, inviting customers on a culinary adventure.

Process

Started with research on Asian noodle culture and calligraphy traditions. Sketched multiple logotype concepts blending brushstroke energy with geometric sans-serif precision. Selected a final custom typeface where curves meet sharp angles, symbolizing tradition meeting modernity. Chose earthy base colors (sesame brown, bamboo green, turmeric yellow) and added vibrant accents (chili red, lime green, ginger orange) for energy. Designed packaging layouts with layered typography: bold brand name, playful subheadings, and ingredient callouts arranged in a non-linear, exploratory way. Created promotional materials (menus, posters, social media templates) that extend the same typographic playfulness. Tested the identity on noodle boxes, takeout bags, and a mockup website. Delivered a brand identity where every element invites customers to discover Asian noodles anew with tradition in every bite and modernity in every detail.
